Should I get PS3 or new Xbox 360?
My xbox 360 got the RROD out of warranty, and I was thinking rather than pay to get it fixed of getting the new slim version. Some friends told me to get PS3 instead. I was wondering what you guys think? I used to have the PS1 and 2, and loved them, but I already have 360 games. I know PS3 has free online, can play blu-rays (I want a blu-ray player), and some exclusive games like GOW. I only have enough cash for one system (and no job) so should I get a PS3 and wait a while and pay $100 or so to fix 360…? or what do you guys think? could get a arcade version for $150 too.

Me, my cousin, and my parents are going to Atlanta in a month to stay in a hotel, go to a braves game, and go to six flags..I’m trying to find a hotel thats in a safe area, has a pool, maybe an arcade, and free breakfast. Like something not too high maybe around $100 or so per night, like a marriot or hampton or holliday inn or something..Not a rich hotel. OMG, my son and I stayed at the this hotel and when we return to ATL we will stay there the breakfast was great and is included we were ten minutes from everywhere, I was a single parent at this hotel and I felt safe and the price range was great and it seems like this place would be affordable for you guys too have fun

My same answer applies. Look in Marietta, in the Cumberland Mall/Galleria area for the best hotels.
Six Flags is in Cobb County, so is Marietta. It’s 12 miles southwest and a 10 minutes drive from the Cumberland Mall. Turner Field is 13 miles straight south. An easy 10 minute drive. Of course traffic and time of day will determine how long it will really take you.
The Marietta area is centrally located that is why it is a good place to stay. It’s far enough away from downtown Atlanta to get reasonable hotel rates and it’s in the suburbs so it’s much safer. It’s close enough to everything so it’s not a long drive. It’s also right next to the Interstate so it’s very convenient to get to.
Did Microsoft scam me/1 vs 100?
Ok, so last night i was playing 1 vs 100 and i won like 10 free arcade games and like 3000 microsoft points, i went to my thing and guess what, it says i have no microsoft points. So i went to the xbox.com forums and i see many people have not gotten there points. Some say they will send us a code in 4-6 weeks, is this true
Yes it takes 4-6 weeks for them to process it. Don’t make two questions.
What to do when xbox 360 arrives from Microsoft?
I recently bought a xbox 360 second hand from this guy that tried to fix my original 360 but could not so I bought a 360 off him for $100. My original was out of warranty and I did not want to pay a $100 to Microsoft to get it fixed. I found this guy online that has a business fixing 360’s and mods them. I bought a new 360 from him that had a HDMI port. My original had major freezing issues and had the e71 and e69 errors and after they could not fix it, I decided to get this new one or one that worked because it was not really new just worked and thats what matters. After three days of using it and it working fine it displayed the e74 error. I called Microsoft, set up a repair and sent it off. About a week since I sent it Microsoft told me that console was under investigation because it had a serial number that did not match the one that I gave out for the repair. After the investigation they found that is was tampered with. Which I knew in the beginning it was because the guy that I bought it off of told me it had a mod that allowed you to play games off burned CD’s. I just thought Microsoft would at least attempt to fix it because the serial number I gave them was still in warranty. They told me, they were not going to fix it because they did not want to fix getting a electrical shock from trying to open it. Really? I don’t think there would be any current flowing in it if you don’t have any cables hooked up to it, to give it a current. Anyway, I checked my repair status for my console and to my surprise the console that was listed was a different one. I remember the 360 I sent off was a Elite system, it looked like a Pro on the outside with the white color. Elites are supposed to be in a Black color. Don’t ask why it was white as whatever happened to the xbox before I bought it is out of my hands. So, the console that was listed was a 360 Arcade system and the serial number was different from the Elite I sent in so this has to be a replacement console they are shipping back to me. I called Microsoft and told them about it and from there records it says its the same console they are shipping back to me just not repaired. What? I told them that I saw that there was a Arcade system coming back to me and it has a different serial number telling me it is a new or replacement console. Microsoft was surprised by this, they told me if get a different console back like what I think is happening, to call them back. Why? If I get my modded 360 back and I set it up and it gives me the E74 error I am going to be very upset. As I am getting a free invitation to the Halo Reach beta and I do not want to miss out on that. If I get a new console or at least new to me which I think will happen because I have seen proof its different from the one I sent in for repairs because of the different serial numbers then I am going to keep it. I have been through hell and back trying to get a working 360 for almost a month. I believe I am getting a replacement so I am planning on keeping something that is going to work. What does Microsoft want me to do? Send it back to them? No thank you, They are in charge of what console comes back to me and it looks like they are giving me a replacement as they did not even attempt to fix mine. I learned a lesson and that is never to buy a console or any computer second hand as to what this experience has gave me. I know Trade N Play fixes console from what there site says. Does anyone know the costs for repairing a Xbox 360. That is going to be my plan, if I get my same console I sent in and I find out it still has the e74 error. Its either that, or see if Game Stop or Play N Trade accept a broken 360 for a trade in. So I can at least get some sort of a profit out of it to help me in saving up to buy a brand new xbox 360. On the other hand if I am getting a completely different system, which I am pretty sure is going to happen since I have proof. Then I don’t have to worry about nothing if it boots up with no problems or error codes. Then again it could be my console I shipped off just with two different serial numbers which would be really rare. But I highly doubt that unless it has parts of a arcade and a elite system in it or the codes just mistaken it for two different consoles. Which again would be very bad a strange. But I will refuse to believe that until my 360 arrives at my doorstep and until I hook it up and check numbers with it with what I have in my records. Also see if there are any problems with it starting up. I really think this is a completely different console from what xbox.com/support is telling me when I sign in to my account and check my repair status for the console. Different number, different system type, different xbox 360. It least it looks that way. What should I do when I get "this" xbox 360? What should I do moving forward? Should I buy a PS3 Slim or a XBOX 360?

I want to get one of these but I can’t decide. This is what im thinking for both -
PS3-
Pros: Bluray, no "red ring of death" problems, more quiet (fan), built in wifi, free online play, controller, little big planet, doesn’t heat up as much, you don’t have to worry about replacing batteries (i like the USB charging thing). Some friends are starting to get PS3’s, not as big failure rate. I like the media more on it.
Cons: Online play isn’t as good as XBOX Live, doesn’t have Halo (i like Halo 
), not as many people have one, graphics on some multi platform games aren’t as good as on the XBOX 360. Games don’t use it to its full potential.
XBOX 360 -
Pros: XBOX Live, more friends have one, has Halo, I like the controllers more (feel), looks cooler, games use it to its potential, games are easier to create.
Cons – you have to pay $100 for wifi (ill probably just use a cord to attach it to my router, its close to my computer, you have to pay for live, RED RING OF DEATH, sounds like a jet plane, greater failure rate, can scratch disks, doesn’t have bluray, just standard DVD. The power cord box converter thing (dont know what it is called) if flippin HUGE!!!.
What happens in the future will have an effect on which i buy since i wont be buying this for a few months. Im also into sports games like need for speed, madden… stuff like that.
Please give me reasons too.
If you suggest XBOX tell me which one to get (pro, arcade, elite, etc.) Maybe the Call of duty XBOX…. good deal (2 controllers, 250 gig Hard drive, COD4 2)

Ok first of all the red ring of death is not a terrible problem anymore. Microsoft promised to fix any problems, i had to sent mine in, and within 2 weeks i got a brand new one, not a new shell, not new insides, a completely new right off the shelf xbox360 elite. it only failed after over a year and a half of hard work. as for what one to buy, defiantly the elite, they have the lowest fail rate. i would not recommend the 250 gig hard drive. I have a 120 gig and i believe i’ve filled maybe 10 gigs, this with downloading all my games to my hard drive for reduced load time.
Also the fact that the power converter is big means it i protected more from dangerous power surges.
PS3 defiantly does not have either the community that xbl has and since its free they receive less updates, do not get all the DLC, and theres always the games to consider, i highly recommend xbox
closing arguments, my friends have both xbox and PS3 they seem to gravitate to xbox because of the vast amount of games, and huge community.

My friend has an xbox 360, as well as all of my friends. The xbox 360 has many cons, like the battery controller, wi fi isn’t free and also the failure in the console, but i really like this game called forza and i especially want the console because of that…
My brother and all his friends have Ps3’s and they say that i should get a ps3 even though it is more expensive than the xbox 360 by about 100 bucks (comparing to the Arcade)… The only reason why i want the ps3 is cause the wi-fi is free, and on the long run it is cheaper.
